Welcome to County Hotel, located in a secluded area of the ancient Epping Forest. Complementing the famous forest are a multitude of nearby historical sites. Chingford boasts the Queen Elizabeth Hunting Lodge from when the area was the Tudor’s hunting patch! The old market town of Waltham Abbey dates back to 1035. Even older are the iron age hill fort settlements of Ambresbury Banks and Loughton Camp, which both lie within the forest itself.

Away from the County the centre of London is just twelve short miles either by fast rail or tube links, ideal for theatres, shopping and all the well known attractions.

To the east of London is the Docklands with its financial heart at Canary Wharf and onwards to Bank. For the business traveller or delegate the M11 and M25 are just minutes away and two airports, London Stansted and London City, are also within easy reach.
